Which winter glove brands does Ridgeline carry? +
Right now: Hestra, Reusch, Dakine, Outdoor Research, Switchback. That’s 47 glove and mitten models in stock across 105 sizes and colours, from Swedish leather to GORE-TEX storm mitts.
How do I choose between gloves, mittens and 3-finger lobsters? +
Five-finger gloves give the most dexterity for buckles, zips and poles. Mittens keep your fingers together so they share warmth: the warmest choice for cold chairlifts. 3-finger (lobster) styles sit in between, with the index finger on its own and the other fingers together.
Why is Hestra so popular for skiing and snowboarding? +
Hestra is a family-owned Swedish glove maker that has been making gloves since 1936. Its ski gloves are known for leather palms and durable construction, and many models, like the Heli Ski, use removable liners you can dry or swap overnight.
How does glove sizing work? +
Hestra uses numbered sizes (roughly 6 to 11), Reusch lists a number with its letter size (for example 8/M), and Dakine and Outdoor Research use letter sizes. Fit varies by model, so try them on: you want a little room at the fingertips when you make a fist.

Yes. Gloves and mitts with a waterproof membrane, GORE-TEX or Reusch’s R-TEX® XT, keep wet snow from soaking through on storm days and in spring slush.

Yes. Kids lose warmth fast, so a warm mitten with a long cuff is usually the easiest win for little ones. Add youth sizing in the reservation notes and we’ll have options ready to try.
