Perhaps the most versatile choice in Black Crows' vast women's line, and the most popular from year to year, the Black Crows Camox Birdie Skis provide the best compromise between hard snow and soft snow performance and remain perhaps the best "quiver-of-one" choice in the business. A semi-cap stepdown construction around a solid Poplar wood core means predictable and durable performance for the coming season and many more, and the 97mm waist width is more than capable when the freshies arrive.

The widest ski in Black Crows' touring range, the new Black Crows Draco Freebird Skis replace the Ferox in the 110mm waist category. With a less five-pointy tip shape, longish 21 meter sidecut, and smooth flex, the Draco is somewhat easier to handle in tight spaces and less demanding in critical maneuvers. As with the other Black Crows touring models, the Draco refuses to sacrifice downhill performance in the interest of light weight. A great choice for mid-winter touring and deeper days in the backcountry.

The Atris Junior is a super mid-fat with a playful soul. The flex is constant and progressive and, thanks to its lightness, it is very easy to manoeuvre. The radius (18m) makes it easy to ride and the progressive flex makes it easy to learn. The ribbed lines give it a good grip and it's a ski made for youthful creativity on all types of terrain.

With a lighter core and a softer flex than its universal avatar, the Vertis Birdie is the preferred choice for women skiers who want an accessible, high performance, on-piste machine. With its short radius (15 meters) and 85mm at the base, it benefits from a very fast edge-to-edge transition that makes it a pleasure to ride. With three intermediate sizes (152, 159, 169), the Vertis Birdie is our women's piste ski par excellence.

Camox This incomparable mid-fat all terrain ski is reputed for its tolerance and playfulness. The association of a very progressive flex and good lenghten side lines brings great manoeuvrability and strong hold at high speed. With a DNA derived from freestyle, the progressive and supple flex makes it easy to handle and adapted to progression , whereas its side lines give a very effective and stable edge. Creativity for everybody on all types of terrain. Double rocker: manoeuvrability and great pivot. Medium classic camber: classic camber underfoot with moderate ski/snow contact, creating a good balance between stability and manoeuvrability. The Total Joy offers advanced women a high-performance ski for the entire mountain. A new design lengthens the sidecut, making the Total Joy more forgiving and versatile in a variety of turn shapes. HEAD focuses on managing weight distribution by using carbon in the poplar core, resulting in a lightweight yet strong all-mountain ski. Better Balance technology puts women in an optimum position for easy turn initiation and stability on the slopes.

The Atomic Bent 110 takes a similar approach to the mountain as the Bent Chetler 120, with slightly less width. It’s Jossi Wells’s go-to ski for backcountry freestyle, charging lift-served pow laps and days where it’s deep, but not 120-deep. The Bent 110 is designed with HRZN Tech Tip and Tail for a playful performance and better float through blower without adding bulk to the ski. The 110 features a bit less rocker in the tail than the 120 but still charges through variable chop and crud. A Light Woodcore reduces weight and keeps the performance responsive. With topsheet and base art by Chris Benchetler, the 110 is wholly reflective of his approach to the mountains: creative and unique.

Medium width, rapid and vivacious, the captis birdie is ideal for resort skiing. The captis birdie is relatively narrow making it very responsive and meaning quick edge-to-edge transition. Lighter and softer than the unisex version, this is a women’s-only savage ski.

The Black Crows Anima has always been a charger. It is Mark Abma’s deep day tool of choice, after all. But this year, Black Crows decided to make the Anima an agile charger. Shortening the sidecut to 19 meters in every size, you are now free to move about the cabin—making quicker turns when the terrain gets hairy. The result is a burly and poppy powder tool that won’t lock you into Super G turns. Our testers found the new turn radius snappy and playful, while the combination of the weight and smooth flex pattern powered through chop and crud. Of course, when you’re ready to really open it up, so is the Anima. It’s powered by a ton of fiberglass and kevlar stringers to keep things stable when you’re ripping face out on the apron.
