A unified platform of high-torque motors, UL-certified batteries, and SensorSwap technology spanning mountain, city, and cargo categories.
From the featherweight Tempo to the dual-suspension Nomad 2X, every Velotric packs a tuned rear hub motor delivering class-leading torque for effortless climbs and instant throttle response.
UL 2271 and UL 2849 certified battery systems with LG cells. Whether it's the removable pack on the Tempo or the 801.6 Wh brick on the Nomad 2X, you get all-day range with safety built in.
Standard across the lineup, SensorSwap lets you toggle between the natural, effort-matched feel of a torque sensor and the consistent push of a cadence sensor — two bikes in one.
Each Velotric is engineered for its mission: lightweight aluminum on the Tempo, dual-suspension fat-tire on the Nomad 2X, and a 500 lb-rated cargo platform on the GoMad.
Velotric tunes every rear hub motor for its mission. The Nomad 2X delivers a staggering 105 N·m of torque with 1,400W peak, while the Tempo keeps things light at 45 N·m. Paired with UL 2271 certified batteries up to 801.6 Wh, you get up to 80 miles of range with safety built into every cell.
Switch between the natural, effort-matched feel of a torque sensor and the consistent push of a cadence sensor — on the fly via the app, display, or handlebar button.
Every Velotric battery meets UL 2271 and the full bike UL 2849 standards. From the removable 374Wh Tempo pack to the 801.6Wh Nomad brick, charge with total peace of mind.
Integrated color LCD with USB-C charging, Bluetooth app pairing, customizable power curves, and adjustable speed governance from 12–28 mph.
Every Velotric in our lineup ships throttle-enabled as Class 2, but every model can be configured to Class 1 or Class 3 right from the display or app — no parts swap required. Turning the throttle off and capping assist speed at 20 mph makes it Class 1; leaving the throttle off and raising the assist cap to 28 mph makes it Class 3. That flexibility means one bike can follow whatever rule applies on the trail, path, or city street you're riding that day — always check local and trail-specific e-bike rules, since access can vary by class even within the same class of e-bike.
The motor only engages while you're pedaling, and assistance cuts out at 20 mph. Class 1 is the most widely allowed e-bike class — welcome on the majority of paved paths, greenways, and multi-use trails that restrict throttle-equipped bikes.
A thumb or twist throttle can propel the bike without pedaling, up to 20 mph. Useful for starting from a stop on a loaded cargo bike or resting your legs mid-ride — but throttle-equipped bikes are restricted on some trails and bike paths.
Pedal-assist only, like Class 1, but the motor keeps helping up to 28 mph — ideal for confident commuters covering more ground. Class 3 bikes are commonly restricted from bike paths and trails that Class 1 bikes are welcome on, and some states set a minimum rider age.
Every Velotric shares SensorSwap technology and UL-certified power. Choose your ideal build across mountain, city, and cargo:

Real answers about reliability, comparisons, and finding the right model — from an Authorized Velotric Dealer.
Yes. Every Velotric battery is UL 2271 certified (the electric bike battery safety standard) and the complete bike is UL 2849 certified, using LG battery cells. Ridgeline Bike & Ski is an Authorized Velotric Dealer in Boise, so every bike we sell comes with local service and warranty support — not just an online order with no one to call.
Both are well-known direct-to-consumer e-bike brands. What sets Velotric apart on the models we carry is SensorSwap technology — the ability to switch between torque-sensor and cadence-sensor pedal assist on the fly — plus UL 2271/2849 certification across the lineup and torque ratings up to 105 N·m on the Nomad 2X. Come test ride one at our Boise showroom and feel the difference yourself.
Velotric designs and engineers its e-bikes in the U.S., with manufacturing handled through international production partners — the same model most major e-bike brands use. Every bike still has to pass UL 2271/2849 certification regardless of where it’s built.
The Discover 3 is our top commuter pick — a step-through city build with up to 80 miles of range, a 730 Wh LG battery, and a comfort-tuned 80mm front fork. If you want something lighter to carry upstairs or onto transit, the 39 lb Tempo is the lightest model in the lineup with a removable battery for easy indoor charging.
Every Velotric we sell ships as Class 2 — throttle enabled, motor assist capped at 20 mph. That's the most flexible starting point, but it isn't the only option: the class is a setting, not a fixed part of the bike.
Yes. Every Velotric model can be switched between Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3 right from the display or app — no parts swap needed. Turning the throttle off and setting the assist cap to 20 mph makes it Class 1; turning the throttle off and raising the cap to 28 mph makes it Class 3. That means the same bike can follow whatever rule applies on the trail, bike path, or street you're riding, instead of being locked into one class everywhere you go.
Many bike paths, greenways, and multi-use trails only allow Class 1 e-bikes (pedal-assist, no throttle) — some restrict Class 2 or Class 3 bikes entirely. Switching your Velotric to Class 1 before you ride somewhere with that restriction keeps you riding legally without needing a different bike. Rules vary by trail and jurisdiction, so it's always worth checking signage or the local trail authority's e-bike policy before you go.
Yes — stop by our Boise showroom and we'll walk you through the display or app settings so your bike is dialed in for wherever you plan to ride, whether that's a Class-1-only greenway or open road riding at full Class 3 assist.
