Hotronic Surround Thin
$99Thin, close-fitting heat sock with Hotronic’s toe-wrapping Surround element and a built-in shin protector. Pair with a Hotronic power set.
Specs Sizes XS–XL · socks only, batteries sold separately
Cold toes and fingers end ski days early. We carry electric heat from Hotronic, Therm-ic and Hestra: heated ski socks, heated gloves and liners, Bluetooth battery sets, plus a heated boot bag and boot dryer to start every day warm and dry. Shop what’s on our shelf or special-order any size, and set it up with our boot fitters on Overland Road.
Your body pulls warmth from your hands and feet to protect your core, so they get cold first. Electric heat puts it back where you lose it. Here’s how each kind works and what we carry.
A thin ski sock with the heating element at the toes, powered by a pair of rechargeable batteries clipped at the cuff. Nothing goes in your boot. Hotronic sells socks and batteries separately; Therm-ic sells them as a set.
Hotronic socks run off a Hotronic power set: rechargeable Li-ion pairs with a recharger and Bluetooth app control, from 10 to 18 hours of warmth.
Hotronic’s heated gloves and mitts have the heat and battery built in. Hestra’s heated liner goes inside a Hestra glove you already own (or buy) that has a removable liner.
A heated boot bag warms liners on the drive up, and a boot dryer gets them dry overnight. Boot heaters and Bootcaps keep the warmth in on the hill.

Tell us where you get cold and how you ski. We’ll recommend socks, gloves, batteries or a boot bag, check what works with gear you already own, and set up a time to fit it with your boots.
Straight answers using each maker’s own specs.
Start where you get cold. Cold toes: heated socks (Hotronic or Therm-ic), or Hotronic boot heaters if you always ski the same boots. Cold fingers: Hotronic heated gloves or mitts, or a Hestra Heated Liner inside a Hestra glove. Boots that are cold and stiff to put on: the Snow Eagle heated boot bag. Boots that never quite dry: the Therm-ic Refresher. If you’re not sure, tell us below and we’ll recommend a setup.
Both are thin ski socks with the heat at the toes and a pair of Bluetooth batteries at the cuff. Hotronic sells the socks and batteries separately, so you choose your run time: the Power Set XLP 1S BT is rated for 10 hours and the 2S BT for 18 hours. Hotronic’s Surround element wraps the top and bottom of the toes. Therm-ic sells its Ultra Warm Comfort and Performance S.E.T® socks as a set with two S-Pack 1400B batteries, rated for up to 9 hours, with a merino knit and a discreet heating line around the toes.
By each maker’s own rating: Hotronic Power Set XLP 2S BT, 18 hours; Hotronic XLP 1S BT, 10 hours; Therm-ic sock sets with S-Pack 1400B, up to 9 hours; Hotronic HeatGlove XLP 2G, up to 12 hours; Hotronic HeatMitt XLP 1G, up to 6 hours; Hestra Heated Liner, 8–10 hours on low, 4–5 hours on medium and 2–2.5 hours on high. Higher heat settings always shorten run time.
Hotronic’s HeatGlove and HeatMitt are complete waterproof, windproof ski gloves with the heating and battery built in, in sizes 6–11. The Hestra Heated Liner is a 5-finger heated liner that slips inside a Hestra glove with a removable liner, turning it into a heated glove. It has microfleece lining, G-Loft insulation and a three-step control on the cuff. Choose the liner if you love your Hestra gloves; choose the Hotronic glove if you want everything in one.
Hestra designed it to fit the Army Leather Heli Ski, in both glove and mitten versions, and says it also works in many other Hestra gloves with a long cuff and a detachable liner. Size matters: too big a glove leaves a gap between the heated panels and your fingers, which reduces the heat. Bring your gloves in and we’ll check the fit.
By design. Hestra says that at the highest setting the heated panels run close to body temperature, supporting your hand’s own warmth, so they won’t feel “hot” against the skin. That added heat, plus the glove’s insulation, is what keeps fingers warm.
The Hotronic “BT” power sets and the Therm-ic S-Pack 1400B batteries are Bluetooth compatible. Hotronic uses its free Hotronic heat app (App Store and Google Play) to set heat and check charge. The Hestra liner uses a three-step control on the cuff.
The Snow Eagle Heated Boot Bag Classic has a built-in heater that pre-heats your boot liners and dries helmets, gloves, socks and layers. Warm liners make stiff boots much easier to get on in a cold parking lot. It comes with both a 110/120V wall plug and a 12V car plug, has three heat modes (Hot, Dry, Warm), holds 40 liters (10 x 17 x 15 in) and carries a 2-year warranty.
Two foldable arms, adjustable from 13.5 to 21.5 cm (5.3 to 8.5 in), go deep into ski boots, shoes or gloves and blow warm air where the moisture is. Set the timer for 1 to 3 hours and it switches off on its own. A UV function helps stop bacteria and odours.
Heated socks should fit snugly so the heat sits against your toes. Hotronic socks run XS–XL (Thin EVO S–XL). Therm-ic sets use EU sizes from 35-36 to 45-47. Hotronic gloves and the Hestra liner come in sizes 6–11. We size you in the shop and can check sock fit in your own boots.
Sizes with a green dot are on our shelf now. Sizes marked “special order” are ordered from the maker for you when you buy online: we confirm your size and arrival date by email, typically 7–10 business days, and hold it for pickup or ship it to you.
